Hey, I’m Cooper Ramsey.

I’m a 17-year-old singer-songwriter who grew up in New York City and now call Nashville home. I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember, but my journey really started when I was 8 years old, when I performed an a cappella version of Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” at a talent show — keeping tempo in my cowboy boots.

Not long after, I began studying with vocal coach Amelia DeMayo, and just two years later, I became the youngest vocalist ever to win 1st place in the Hal Leonard Vocal Competition. That same year, I got to perform live at the Apollo Theater in New York City. In 2022, I had the incredible opportunity to share a stage with Motown legend Stevie Wonder, which is still one of those moments I’ll never forget.

Music has always been my way of connecting with people and expressing the things I don’t always know how to say. I also care deeply about mental health and have been open about my own experiences with anxiety and OCD. I actually wrote my first original song when I was just 9 years old, and that song was later featured in the award-winning documentary Anxious Nation, produced by New York Times bestselling author Laura Morton.

Now I’m living in Nashville, writing, recording, performing, and working on new music.
